PRODUCT OVERVIEW: This Windows 2000 based monitoring system is a pick and run-time based efficiency monitoring system with Intel Pentium PCs and PLC data gathering with extensive automatic and on request reporting. Color coded machine status displays providing text and graphical information are included. Timelines display data per minute, hour, shift, or day. It monitors multiple stops (as available) on each loom and records run-times, stop-times, and picks. The system counts picks by scanning approximately 100 times per second. There is an electronic warpout board with service crew tracking and warpout predictions.
The system is designed to provide documentation and visualization of operating conditions with details for each loom. This allows supervision to improve operating efficiencies significantly. The effect of changes to production conditions or raw material inputs can be documented accurately so informed decisions can be made.
SYSTEM DESCRIPTION: The system uses readily available PLCs to detect and transfer the pick, run/stop, and stop cause data to the central Windows 2000 file-server. Remote color floor terminals provide easy access to monitored data so operators can see their own production data for comparison and motivation.
All system parts, repair and field test facilities are readily available. Fast internal modems, when connected to a telephone line, can provide remote access with password protection. This facility can also be used for remote testing and software upgrading. Our rugged, reliable PC computers ensure maximum usefulness and future upgrade capability. Monitored data is accessible to managers, IE's and others via the 100 megabit Ethernet network.
This system is designed for years of continuous service. The central computers have an AC power line conditioner/battery backup for increased reliability. The main system cabinet contains a fan pack to insure maximum cooling.
Our remote color floor terminals are mounted in NEMA enclosures and have sealed, rubberized keyboards. These terminals provide color enhanced status information for weavers and fixers. Any 32-bit Windows computer with proper authorization and connected to our Windows 2000 Ethernet network can access the data.
MANY USEFUL REPORTS: Over 20 plus years of monitoring system development are behind this system. Our reports include: Efficiency listings, Looms with high stops, Low efficiency looms, Standing looms, Payroll information per operator, and Production data. Any reported data is available for export to spreadsheet, database or other programs. Reports can be sorted by user defined categories such as weaver, fixer, supervisor, or others.
Reports are available for current shift, previous shifts, combined shifts, week-to-date or user defined periods. Automatic end-of-shift reporting is a standard system feature. Reports can cover any period.
STATUS DISPLAY: We use a color coded loom floor layout to display status information. You can select data to display such as efficiency, stops, run/stop status, etc. This allows you to quickly locate problem looms which leads to increased production efficiencies. A strong set of graphs is also included.

efficiency with looms color coded by efficiency.
This screen displays the status of each loom in a true floor plan layout.
The arrows at the bottom of the display allow you to select the levels to be displayed in
each color.
