Package Dye Machine Control

PRODUCT OVERVIEW: Package Dye Machine Control  is a digital process control system developed from over 20 years of direct experience in textile industry. This system  provides independent, single or twin control for 1 to 12 kier machines. The control PLC is networked to a supervisor computer for centralized, procedure making, status display, and reporting.

This package dye  control uses highly reliable,  PLCs to control all functions needed with the most modern and complex package dyeing hardware available today with expansion capability for tomorrow's needs. Operator friendly interface screens provide unsurpassed ease of use at an affordable price. Lot, formula, color, etc. information can be entered with the keypad and other information is collected automatically.

PROCEDURE STEPS: Easy to enter, modify or delete procedures control:

• START - Beginning of dye cycle
• ADD - Add from makeup tanks
• FILL - Water addition at blend temperature
• RAMP - Controlled ramp rate to the set point
• HOLD - Timed hold in a state
• REVERSE - Changes the flow direction
• DRAIN - Drains until float switch inactive
• EXTRACT - Extracts water from the yarn
• ENDCYCLE - Last step in a procedure
• WASH - Wash with temperature control
• PREPARE - Notify drug room to add chemical plus level & temperature control
• SAMPLE - Notify operator to take a sample
• SUBROUTINE - A group of procedure steps

Procedures are built on the associated supervisor computer and easily downloaded to the control PLCs when needed. Operators can jump backwards and forwards in a procedure if necessary to handle unusual dye lot conditions.

CONTROL TECHNIQUES: Full, direct, digital control allows control of pressures, times, temperatures, flows and many other machine parameters. Inputs can be RTD temperature probes or voltages, currents, pressures, pulses, etc. from other instrumentation. Any parameter needed can be controlled and future modifications can be easily accommodated.

Important variables are displayed on the screens out on the production floor along with alarm conditions in graphical or text format. Alarms are also indicated by horns, lights or both as desired for maximum usefulness. Alarm and status information is also available on the associated supervisor computer.

DIAGNOSTICS/ALARMS: All valves and controls can be tested with the diagnostic program. This allows easy trouble shooting of mechanical components in the system for functional verification. Alarm history data assists in easy location of other possible causes of low dyeing efficiency or increased redyes.
