PRODUCT OVERVIEW: The Murata spinning frame data gathered from the Murata IA computers on each frame with data summarization and reporting allows machine/operator comparisons for improved operating efficiencies. We have monitored plants with as few as 21 to as many as 96 frames and have 218 total frames monitored at this time..
Micro Services Group's Murata Monitoring System consists of one data access computer attached to all Murata frames for centralized recording and reporting of data. This system is designed to give fixers, supervisors, operators, industrial engineers, and others easy access to job-critical information concerning downtime, stops, efficiency, production, down minutes per red button, and pay for each Murata frame and spindle.
SYSTEM DESCRIPTION: The data access, file server, and central reporting computers have a keyboard, color display, and printer so that supervisors can run reports locally. This computer is usually located in an office for easy access by the department or shift supervisors, and it is attached to the Murata frames by serial networks. Battery backup and line conditioning are provided for enhanced reliability. All reporting is available on Ethernet networks and all data is refreshed in five minutes or less.
Several color floor terminals may be mounted in the work area for continuous display of fixer, production, or efficiency information. These are mounted in an industry standard NEMA enclosure with sealed keyboard. These typically run automatic updating status and reporting programs.
These terminals can display the worst 20 machine spindles in the categories of forced stops, high red buttons, low efficiency, and misknots. A production screen can display production data for all frames. The production data displayed on the terminal consists of the following categories: actual efficiency, slubs, red flags, doffs, stops, percent miss knots, MC minutes, and spinning efficiency. Terminals make data readily available to operators to assist with their jobs.
SYSTEM DATA/REPORTS: Micro Services Group's menu-driven Murata Reporting Software is very easy to use. In just a few seconds the user can request any report to which he or she has access. Several standard reports by frame or for all frames are available as follows: Averages, Detailed spindle data, Stops per hour, Low efficiency spindles, Production & Pay, High missed knot percentages, 'Super Spectron' average spindle data, 'Super Spectron' detailed spindle data, Exceptional spindles (too many stops of one kind).
OTHER FEATURES: Our system also allows personal computers, which may already be installed at a mill on its networks, to be connected and used as remote reporting stations. Typical systems provide remote access for IEs, Supervisors, Department Heads and Mill Managers at their computer to network to the Murata System and get current reports at their local printers.
Micro Services Group, Inc. has one of the largest total number of Murata frames monitored by any monitoring company. We will be happy to put this experience to work to configure a system to fit your needs. Let our knowledge provide you with an exceptionally useful system in minimum time. We can provide a complete turn-key system or assist your people as needed.
