PRODUCT OVERVIEW: Micro Services Group Defect/Quality Tracking Inspection System monitors and reports defect locations within a production roll on a monitor and printer in both tabular and graphical form. It supports multiple inspection frames on 32Bit Windows computers. Lot and quality data are input from a PLC keypad on the inspection frame and a shaft encoder automatically captures yardage.
The PLC keypad has 12 function keys along the left and right edges that can be labeled for the most frequent defects. Other defect types are entered with a two digit number that is verified to the operator on the keypad screen. The screen has a large four line by 20 character display. Each defect is automatically assigned a default point count. All of the defect data is transferred to Windows compatible databases on the reporting PC computer. This data can be easily exported to other systems as needed.
REPORTS AVAILABLE: End-of-shift reports provide production for each machine as total yards, defect summaries, and defect points. The reporting program can be run at any time and can display current or historical data. The end-of-shift sequence also automatically purges the history file down to the number of months or years that you select. Quality reports can be run in summary mode for a shift or detailed defect map mode for individual lots and rolls.
There are several older versions of this type system operational in various plants now. The software can be tailored to your specific plant needs.
DATA USAGES: Defect data can be fed back to production areas to improve future production runs. Defect data can be used in cut mapping to optimize the amount of first quality cloth and still maintain compliance with defect rules. Historical data can be used to optimize defect rule specifications. Defect maps and summary data can be provided to customers and sales people.
Our computer assisted mapping program allows an operator to select cut locations and instantly see roll data summaries and rule compliance. This speeds the mapping process but still utilizes the operator's expertise or special instructions in mapping rolls for a specific lot and customer order where needed.
The PLC keypads can also be used to enter lot and roll numbers at cut tables. When this is done the PLC can stop the cut table at the prescribed cut location. This allows cut tables to be run faster and increase production.
WIDE ACCESS TO DATA: Other networked computers can access all of the data on this system. This allows others to keep track of this data by lot and roll numbers. Since inspection is near the last step before shipment, this makes a good place for lot status inquiry. Production data can be exported to the plant lot tracking system as well.
This system can be used on inspection frames or on continuous ranges and data can be shared throughout multiple departments for schedule coordination.
